Artefact

Artefact is a photographic series I started in 2017.

My photographic practice is almost like a personal diary. My urban wanderings cultivate a heightened awareness of sound, light, and smell. In the city, I search for objects or artifacts I can identify with, capable of expressing emotions such as solitude, the need for calm, or the feeling of being on the margins. My images aim to introduce a form of silence into the heart of chaos.

Forgotten objects, marginal spaces, and worn materials feed my work: each fragment carries the potential for renewal. Coming from a childhood marked by precarity, I perceive material as a carrier of memory, dignity, and potential.

Transforming the discarded and overlooked objects of everyday life is a way to question our relationship to consumption while opening a space for symbolic repair : what is rejected can become precious again.
